Drone fragments found near farm at Văcăreni, Romania; operator unknown

Recovery; origin unresolved

On 25 April 2026 drone fragments were found near a farm close to Văcăreni, in Tulcea County, Romania. The date is that of the discovery, not of a flight: when the drone flew or came down, and by what route, is unknown, as is the number of drones the fragments came from.

Reporting associated the fragments with a foreign military drone, but the exact operator has not been established.

No casualties were reported. The area was investigated, and specialists collected and reviewed the fragments. The next day, further fragments with an explosive charge were reported between Luncavița and Văcăreni. Romanian reporting distinguished the two finds, but it has not been shown whether they came from the same drone or from different ones.
