Greece reports four airspace violations by three Turkish UAVs in Aegean
· Northeastern / central / southeastern Aegean · Greek-reported Turkish UAVs
Greek-authority-reported Turkish UAV airspace violations
On the evening of 7 October 2026 OnAlert published a Greek military (GEETHA) account of three Turkish UAVs over the northeastern, central and southeastern Aegean that day. According to that account, the drones made four violations of national airspace and three infringements of the Athens flight information region (FIR). Exact sites and sortie times were not published.
The Turkish identification is GEETHA’s, and the national-airspace violation assessment remains Greece’s, given the Greek-Turkish airspace dispute. No flight tracks or boundary assessments have been independently verified. The drones’ models, armament and payload were not established.
The UAVs were identified and intercepted under standard procedures. No armed aircraft, engagements, shoot-downs, crashes, casualties or damage were reported. The three figures count different things and are not separate incidents.
