Remains of four drones found and neutralised at Edighiol–Periboina, Romania
· Edighiol–Periboina — coastal sector
Official multi-aircraft recovery cluster; national origins unresolved
On 11 September 2026, while checking a Coast Guard report, a helicopter-borne explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) team observed several drone wrecks in the Edighiol–Periboina coastal sector of Constanța County, Romania. The remains belonged to four aerial drones, one of them an interceptor drone. The Defence Ministry (MApN) chronology lists the intervention at 17:55.
The cited chronology gives no operator or national attribution for any of the drones. When they flew or came down, and whether they are linked to other drones recovered along the coast, are unresolved.
Explosives were reported specifically on board the interceptor drone. All elements were secured and neutralised in a controlled disposal by the authorities, which is distinct from an explosion during the incident.
