Drone with no explosives recovered from Black Sea at Kamchia, Bulgaria

Coastal aerial-drone recovery; individual origin unresolved

On 27 August 2026 a team inspected an object reported in Black Sea waters at Kamchia, on Bulgaria's coast, and identified it as a drone (UAV). The date is the discovery and response date: when the drone came down, and the route it flew, are unknown.

The origin of this drone has not been established, and no operator has been identified. Broader Russian or Ukrainian associations made for this group of coastal finds do not identify this particular object.

No explosives were on board and no casualties were reported. The drone was transported to Varna Naval Base. Its relationship to a drone wing reported on 25 August is unresolved; the two are not assumed to be the same object.
