Starter motor found off Tyulenovo, Bulgaria; drone link not established

Related unidentified object — NOT a confirmed drone

On 14 August 2026 the Bulgarian Navy examined an object drifting about 50 metres offshore at Tyulenovo, in Bulgaria’s Dobrich district, and took it to a naval base.

The object was identified only as a starter motor. It has not been established that it came from a drone, so it is not a confirmed drone find, and its origin is unknown. Associations with Russian or Ukrainian drones made for the wider group of finds do not identify this object. When and how it ended up in the sea is also unknown.

No casualties were reported.
