At least two drones crash near Kouvola, Finland, at least one Ukrainian
· Kouvola area
Multi-drone cluster
Reports covering 29–30 March 2026 said that at least two drones had entered Finland and come down in the southeast of the country, including north of Kouvola. The exact date and site for each drone have not been resolved. Finnish F/A-18 fighters were deployed, and a pilot reportedly held fire because of the risk on the ground.
At least one of the drones was identified as Ukrainian, and at least one as an AN-196, but the attribution of each object is not equally established. The drones were reported to have strayed during attacks on targets in Russia, and interference was considered a possible cause; that electronic-warfare explanation is not a forensic certainty.
No casualties were reported. Finland investigated the incident as a territorial violation, and wreckage was recovered.
