Military drone fragments found on Pomorie town beach in Bulgaria

Military-drone fragments officially reported; operator unknown

On 2 September 2026 Navy personnel from Burgas responded to military-drone fragments found on the town beach in Pomorie, on Bulgaria's Black Sea coast. The find was announced on 3 September.

The fragments were officially reported as military-drone debris, but the drone has not been identified: its operator is unknown, and the number of aircraft involved is not known. When the aircraft flew or came down, and whether the fragments are linked to other drones recovered along the coast, are unresolved. No payload was reported.

A naval examination was reported, but the final method of handling the fragments was not specified. This beach find is separate from an offshore find on 26 August.
